Basic Information about Chalet Ivy Weiss

It is located in the Hanazono area, a part of Niseko that has seen incredible luxury development in recent years.

Situated 450m high on a quiet mountain peak, it offers a peaceful "hidden sanctuary" away from the busy Hirafu ski district. It’s a magical spot boasting 360-degree panoramic views of Mt. Yotei and the Niseko peaks.

Reception and Lobby

The moment you step into the hotel, a breathtaking view of Mt. Yotei greets you right through the large windows directly ahead!

On this trip, we actually ended up arriving at the hotel an hour before our check-in time.
We thought we would just wait in the lobby for a bit, but the staff kindly told us, "Your room is already set, please come this way," and guided us to our room early!

Our daughter was so happy to get some gummies! ^^

The first floor features a restaurant, a bar, private rooms, a smoking area, and a cozy fireplace.

The bar also offers light snacks and sweets, and our daughter picked the chocolate cake. It was so nice that we could take it back to our room and enjoy it at our own pace.
The terrace seating, where you can feel the pleasant breeze

Plus, just beyond the lobby, there was a truly wonderful terrace seating area!
It is such a wonderfully relaxing space. Just imagining sipping a cup of coffee while gazing at the majestic Mt. Yotei spreading out right before your eyes feels like absolute bliss! (Though it was a bit too chilly to stay outside for long that day, lol).

The Deer Sculpture and Mt. Yotei

Watching my husband and daughter together from a distance brings me so much happiness.

The terrace was filled with so many beautiful, blooming flowers!
We visited in late May, and the moss phlox (shibazakura) was in full bloom and at its absolute peak. The vibrant pink colors were so soothing to look at.
Superior Room
Our room was Room 212.

We stayed in Room 212! The wooden room key was so cute.
Safe and Comfortable for Co-sleeping

When traveling with children, the bed setup is always the biggest concern, isn't it? This time, we were able to push the twin beds together so we could all sleep safely and comfortably with our daughter.
A spacious and relaxing room where kids can play and unwind freely

This time, we stayed in the most standard room type available.
I was thinking, "Since it's the most affordable room, it'll probably be just decent-sized," but I was so surprised when we walked in! To my amazement, it was about 43 square meters—much more spacious than I had imagined!

Even with all the extra luggage that comes with traveling with kids, there's more than enough space to leave our suitcases wide open.

We are already having a blast! (lol)

The TV is huge and smart-ready, which is amazing!
Since it's a brand-new hotel, everything is sparkling clean and absolutely beautiful wherever you look!

Since it just opened in 2025, everything in the room is brand-new and sparkling clean! We were also blown away by the amazing sound quality of this speaker!

The bathroom area and fabrics are also spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable.

The toilet is completely separate in its own room, and it even comes fully equipped with its own private sink!
The view outside the window is a breathtaking panorama of lush greenery.

From the room's window, the vast, beautiful nature of Niseko feels right at your fingertips.
We stayed on the "Mount Weiss side" this time, and its main charm was the peaceful atmosphere that let us fully immerse ourselves in the great outdoors.
They also offer a fantastic variety of amenities for kids!

Just having those cute kids' amenities in the room made my daughter so excited, exclaiming, "This is just for me!" She was especially impressed by how soft and fluffy the mini slippers were.

The soles of the slippers look like cork, which is so cute!

My daughter, who is currently obsessed with dresses, was absolutely thrilled with the kids' yukata! She also seemed so happy that the whole family could wear matching outfits.

The amenities for adults are fantastic too—they have a Dyson hair dryer, and the slippers are so soft and fluffy!

The shampoo and other bath products were from ESPA, featuring a lovely, natural aromatic scent. I was also so grateful they provided a full set of skincare items, including lotion, emulsion, makeup remover, mouthwash, and even a sunscreen kit!

My daughter absolutely loved the scent of the hand soap—a beautiful blend of bergamot and jasmine!
Welcome drink

These were the welcome drinks waiting for us in the fridge. They had a real ginger kick and were super refreshing! It might be a little too spicy for kids...?!

We also received original cocktails as a special stay benefit. My daughter had orange juice, while the adults enjoyed some alcoholic drinks...
Heading to the Observatory Deck in the Clouds!

The one place you absolutely must visit during your stay is the stunning scenic area on the hotel’s top floor.
The view from the 7th floor is absolutely amazing, too!

The moment you step onto the 7th floor, a beautiful panoramic view unfolds right before your eyes. From there, a stylish spiral staircase leads you up to the 8th floor.

I was so captivated by the view that I almost missed a step on the stairs! (lol)
This is the only place where you can see Mount Yotei from such an incredible height!

Perched 450 meters above sea level on the hotel's topmost floor, this overwhelming height offers a view of Mount Yotei that can only be described as absolutely breathtaking.

With absolutely no tall buildings around to block the view, you can enjoy a full 360-degree panoramic view of Niseko's stunning nature!

Since we had the place all to ourselves, we immediately let loose and started running around! (lol) It’s also great that they have tables and chairs set up.

The 8th floor is strictly reserved for the observation deck! Apparently, it’s a premier spot to see beautiful, starry skies at night...☆
A luxurious breakfast with your choice of Japanese or Western cuisine, all while gazing out at Mount Yotei.
When it comes to a luxurious hotel stay, breakfast is always the ultimate highlight! Our breakfast experience at Chalet Ivy Weiss was an absolute moment of bliss.
Sitting back in your seat and enjoying your meal at a relaxing pace—this is the ultimate luxury.

Buffets are a classic choice for family trips, but let’s be honest: between making endless trips to the food stations and making sure the kids don't spill their drinks, parents barely feel like they’ve actually eaten! (lol)

Their breakfast is a sit-down affair where you can choose from premium Japanese or Western set menus. I also learned that the Continental breakfast here is an egg-free option, featuring items like cereal for a lighter start.
Apparently, they might change to a buffet-style breakfast during their busiest times...?!

Even the kids' cutlery was so cute!
Premium Japanese or Western breakfast—perfectly matching your morning mood.

The Western breakfast! I chose the Eggs Benedict—and yes, you can get free refills on the bread!

Enjoying a refreshing apple smoothie, too!

The Japanese breakfast! The soup in the hot pot was so mind-blowingly delicious, it was an instant favorite.
Kids' breakfast isn't included by default, so we usually just shared our meals. But the sweet staff went out of their way to make sure she was taken care of, bringing extra juice and bread!
A Luxury Gym That Instantly Wowed a Non-Gym-Goer Mom!

Stepping into the gym, the first thing you see is a whole wall of windows looking out over the grand nature of Niseko. Getting to try their latest running machines was such a thrill!

The space felt so luxurious, I caught myself thinking, "I'd never skip a workout if my gym looked like this!" Guess I'll have to start bringing my workout clothes to hotels from now on! (lol)
Dad’s Ultimate Favorite: Onsen & Sauna with a View

Of course, keeping the mom and kids happy is essential for any family trip, but the one place that completely blew Dad away this time was the 7th-floor Onsen. He hasn’t stopped raving about it!

Get this: the layout is so mind-blowingly luxurious that you get a flawless view of Mt. Yotei from the indoor bath, outdoor bath, AND the sauna! For an Onsen enthusiast, it doesn't get any better than this. Dad was so obsessed, he snuck away to enjoy it three times! (lol)
